Our Philosophy at Studio Mozart
Just as Mozart’s melodies have been cherished across the ages——
We wish to capture the most beautiful moment in the world: when mother and child become one.
With professional photography and professional makeup, we create a lifelong treasure for expectant mothers.
Masahiro Komachi, a photographer who has worked with celebrities and actresses, once wondered: “What kind of maternity photo could be created if true professionals came together with complete dedication?”
Driven by this pure curiosity, he reached out to trusted hair and makeup artists, and in 2009, Studio Mozart—a studio specializing in maternity photography—was born.
Nestled quietly in a peaceful residential neighborhood, this studio has welcomed couple after couple…
Over the past 16 years, more than 5,000 smiling faces and new lives have graced our doors.
After every session, we hear: “This is the most beautiful I’ve ever seen myself.” Each time we receive such words, our hearts are deeply moved.
Like a melody that never fades with time—— Studio Mozart cherishes every new “beginning” we help create.

Makeup Designed for Photography—Different from a Salon
Your Makeup Artist Stays with You Throughout the Entire Shoot for Complete Support
We provide the same professional hair and makeup that celebrities and actresses receive for their photo sessions—tailored specifically for maternity photography.
Have you ever noticed that makeup that looks perfectly natural on television can appear quite heavy up close?
This is due to the effect of lighting. We design our hair and makeup with the final image in mind, working backward from how the photos will look.
By having the makeup artist present throughout the session, we make real-time adjustments to hairstyles and wardrobe based on camera angles and positioning. This is a key difference that sets us apart—stylish maternity photos are born from these subtle, careful touches.
All of our hair and makeup artists are women. At Studio Mozart, we place great importance on the balance between the photographer’s perspective and sensibility (male) and the hair and makeup artist’s perspective and sensibility (female) in creating our maternity photos.

Not Simply “Showing” Your Belly—but “Showcasing” It Beautifully
A Stylish and Extensive Selection of Original Maternity Wardrobe
We offer our own original collection of outfits and accessories designed specifically for maternity photography.
Please choose whatever you like, taking into consideration your personal taste and the size of your belly.
If you’re unsure what to choose, you can consult with your hair and makeup artist during your styling session.
Choose from a range of styles: casual looks, elegant dressy options, polished formal attire, or artistic nude styles incorporating fabric and flowing movement.
Beautiful Without Baring Your Belly
If you feel hesitant about showing your belly, we also have wardrobe options that keep it covered.
Rest assured—maternity photography isn’t only about exposing your belly.

Addressing Common Concerns for Expectant Mothers: Skin Irritation, Stretch Marks,Fine Hair , and More
Professional Retouchers Carefully Perfect Your Skin
During pregnancy, hormonal changes can easily lead to skin issues such as irritation and breakouts.
You may also have concerns about fine hair on your belly, underarm areas, pigmentation around the navel, or a linea nigra that has darkened during pregnancy.
At Studio Mozart, we go beyond using lighting techniques to enhance your skin’s beauty and smoothness. Our professional retouching specialists, under the supervision of our photographer, carefully apply skin-smoothing retouching to complete each image. This is how we create stylish, beautiful maternity photos worthy of display.

Photographer Komachi is highly acclaimed for both portrait and artistic nude photography. A defining feature of Studio Mozart’s maternity nude sessions is that they begin with a thorough consultation—the photographer and hair & makeup artist will discuss the creative vision with you before the shoot begins.
Many clients choose Studio Mozart specifically because they want to preserve this mystical time of pregnancy with beautiful, highly artistic nude imagery.

Maternity Photos with Your Family—Husband, Children, and Loved Ones
A Pregnancy Portrait Is a Lifelong Treasure
In the words of photographer Komachi: “When photographing the expectant mother alone, I focus on capturing her beauty. When shooting with family—husband and children—I create a portrait that conveys the atmosphere felt among everyone present.”
One of Komachi’s distinctive techniques is intentionally directing gazes away from the camera to prioritize a sense of presence and spontaneity.
The message we wish to convey through maternity photography is: “We are all eagerly and lovingly awaiting your arrival.”
A Recommendation from a Midwife

In my work providing home-visit postpartum care, I have the opportunity to see maternity and baby photos displayed in many different homes.
Among them, one particularly stylish maternity photo displayed in a client’s living room left a lasting impression on me.
The image of the pregnant woman was so carefully photographed and retouched that it resembled a work of art—I couldn’t help but gaze at it in admiration.
That was the first time I ever looked at a maternity photo and thought, “This is truly beautiful.” That was my introduction to photographer Komachi.
Stylish photographs from pregnancy and early infancy can become a source of comfort and support during times of exhaustion or anxiety.
I believe Komachi can create that one special image—a photo that gives you confidence in yourself as someone nurturing new life.
