小町 剛廣 MASAHIRO KOMACHI
o date, Studio Mozart has photographed over 5,000 expectant mothers.
A specialist in portrait photography, he has published numerous photo books featuring actresses, including Erika Toda, Eri Nitta, Kimiko Ikegami, and Yukiji Asaoka, among others.
In 2016, he received the Jury Special Award at the Fujifilm Commercial Photography Contest, selected from 11,157 entries.
Hello, my name is Komachi, and I am a photographer.
I started my career as a photographer at the age of 23, and before I knew it, more than 30 years have passed (laughs).
I specialize in portrait photography and have mainly worked on gravure shoots and photo books for talents and actresses.
Over the past ten years, I have photographed more than 3,600 maternity photo sessions for the general public.
I have met many people who feel uncomfortable being photographed.
In such cases, I value natural shoots without forcing eye contact with the camera, engaging in plenty of conversation, and creating a relaxed, enjoyable atmosphere filled with smiles and laughter.
One of the biggest differences from other studios is our strong emphasis on hair and makeup. We carefully support every detail, including outfit changes and makeup checks.
Popular with our clients are photo sessions using fans to create wind effects, as well as creatively arranged fabrics.
Before giving birth, we invite you to enjoy professional makeup in front of an actress-style mirror and create unforgettable memories and photographs while feeling like a model or celebrity.
These photos will one day become precious works through which your child can feel a sense of their own roots.
We look forward to welcoming you to the studio.

The Journey to Becoming a Photographer

The Journey to Becoming a Photographer
In his early twenties, Komachi worked as an assistant at a photography studio in Tokyo during the day while attending a professional photography school at night (unfortunately repeating his second year twice).
Through both on-site experience and formal education, he developed practical skills and theoretical knowledge.
At the age of 23, he sold all of his cameras except one, packed his bag with film, and traveled to India for nearly three months, focusing mainly on photographing people.
Pointing his lens at the lives of people in India taught him deeply about human nature and inner emotions. During that time, he also encountered a mysterious fortune teller who spoke about his future as a photographer. From Freelance Photographer to Company Founder

From Freelance Photographer to Company Founder
After returning to Japan, he became independent and began working as a freelance photographer.
He energetically photographed gravure shoots of idols and talents for monthly and weekly magazines.
At the age of 30, he traveled alone to Cuba whenever he found time, discovering a different depth of humanity than he had at 23, and became deeply fascinated with the country.
After returning to Japan, he established his own company, naming it “Latin Inc.” after the country he dearly loved—Cuba.Photo Books, Major Exhibitions, and a Pioneer of Latin Photography

Photo Books, Major Exhibitions, and a Pioneer of Latin Photography
He went on to photograph Cuban people through themes of culture and sports, and published his first photo book, Mariposa, with an essay written by Ryu Murakami.
The book was widely featured in newspapers and magazines, including the cultural section of the Asahi Shimbun, attracting significant attention.
He later became captivated by the Rio Carnival in Brazil and visited for four consecutive years.
As a culmination of his work, he held a large-scale exhibition titled Thoughts on Latin America, showcasing years of photography from Cuba and Brazil at the Park Hyatt Tokyo (2nd and 3rd floors).
He also appeared as a navigator on SKY PerfecTV!’s Travel Channel in a two-hour program titled A Man Enchanted by Latin America, introducing Cuba’s captivating locations through the eyes of a photographer, and is regarded as a leading figure in conveying the charm of Cuba through photography.Captivated by the Gajumaru Tree: Photographing Over 1,000 Trees

Captivated by the Gajumaru Tree: Photographing Over 1,000 Trees
Fascinated by the powerful vitality and mystique of the banyan (Gajumaru) tree, he traveled to Okinawa whenever time allowed—more than 100 times over the past decade—to photograph over 1,000 trees.
He published a photo book titled Gajumaru and held an exhibition of the same name for six months in a unique cave setting at Okinawa World Cave Café.Active in Gravure Photography for Monthly and Weekly Magazines

First Maternity Photo

First Maternity Photo
This was my first maternity photo session.
In 2010, I gave birth to my first child, a daughter weighing 2,890g.
During pregnancy, I suffered from severe morning sickness and at times could only take in liquids.
I returned to my hometown for the birth in my ninth month, and before doing so, Mr. Komachi photographed my maternity photos.Although I felt a completely different kind of nervousness compared to when I attend shoots as a makeup artist (laughs), the photos turned out beautifully.
Experiencing the shoot from the other side made me truly appreciate the value of maternity photography.Even now, nine years after my first maternity photo session, I still look at these photos often.
Second Maternity Photo

Second Maternity Photo
Mr. Komachi also photographed my second maternity photo session.
I truly love the maternity photos of my second child as well.
Looking back at my own photos, I feel that the maternity period is a time when, despite anxieties, there is no postpartum exhaustion such as sleep deprivation, and a sense of joy and gentleness about becoming a mother naturally shows on one’s face.

中森真希 MAKI NAKAMORI
She has been involved in maternity photography as a staff member at Studio Mozart for eight years.
Questions about the best timing for a maternity photo shoot, outfits, plan details, or pricing…
Many people feel unsure or anxious about these things at first.
Please feel free to contact us with any questions at all.
We would be honored to help preserve this one-of-a-kind moment in your life as maternity photography—a time when you are nurturing new life within you.
Many mothers tell us that each time they look at their maternity photos, they are reminded of the emotions and experiences of being united as one with their baby.
If these photos can offer encouragement and support to mothers as they begin child-rearing and face busy days and sleepless nights, and if families can continue to enjoy them together for years to come, it would truly be our greatest reward.

魚見舞 MAI UOMI
I’m Mai Uomi, responsible for social media at Studio Mozart.
Hello, my name is Mai Uomi, and I am in charge of SNS at Studio Mozart.
First child (daughter): 39 weeks 5 days, 2,920g
Second child (son): 39 weeks 1 day, 2,655g
Third child (son): 37 weeks 6 days, 2,754g
I believe that the pregnancy period brings many different emotions, including excitement and anxiety.
I clearly remember how emotionally unstable I often felt during my own pregnancies.
My third child was born by cesarean section, so I have experienced both natural childbirth and cesarean delivery.
Because of this, I hope to share helpful information and support not only during pregnancy, but also regarding the various feelings and concerns leading up to childbirth.
